Students for Social Entrepreneurship is…

We are a student run organization on a mission to produce graduates ready for social entrepreneurship. We do this by creating three distinct types of opportunities:

First: Educational Events. We bring in speakers from the field, hold discussions, and show films that engage people with Social Entrepreneurship and provide a foundational understanding of the field.

Second: Internships. We connect outstanding students with high-profile social enterprises by providing onCampus internships. This is a 3 month program providing university credit and work experience. In Fall 2009 we are working with:

• Kiva, the first online, peer-to-peer lending model in microfinance.
• Teach For America,
• Unitus,
• CarrotMob,
• Peery Foundation,
• Tabitha.

Third: Networking opportunities on and off campus.
